Carotid Artery

Service Description

A diagnostic Doppler ultrasound of the carotid arteries in the neck to evaluate blood flow and assess for plaque buildup, narrowing, or other nonurgent vascular abnormalities. This service is intended for preventive or chronic vascular assessment. It is not intended to evaluate possible stroke or transient ischemic attack symptoms. Sudden weakness, facial drooping, difficulty speaking, vision loss, severe dizziness, or other new neurologic symptoms require immediate emergency evaluation.
