First-Trimester OB — Under 14 weeks

Service Description

A diagnostic pregnancy ultrasound performed through 13 weeks and 6 days to evaluate pregnancy location, fetal number, cardiac activity, gestational age, and early development. Transabdominal and/or transvaginal imaging may be performed when clinically appropriate. This is a medical diagnostic examination requiring an order from the patient’s prenatal care provider. Palmetto Preventive does not provide elective keepsake ultrasound, 3D or 4D rendering, entertainment imaging, or guaranteed fetal-sex determination. This service is intended for routine, nonemergency pregnancy evaluation. Vaginal bleeding, severe pelvic or abdominal pain, fainting, or concern for ectopic pregnancy requires urgent medical evaluation.
