Service Description

A targeted diagnostic ultrasound of a specific area of the groin to evaluate a palpable bulge, lump, or other nonurgent concern. The examination may assess for an inguinal or femoral hernia, cyst, lipoma, enlarged lymph node, fluid collection, or other superficial soft-tissue abnormality. This service is not intended for severe or sudden groin pain, a painful nonreducible bulge, vomiting, abdominal distention, or other symptoms of a possible incarcerated or strangulated hernia. These symptoms require urgent medical evaluation.
