Third-Trimester OB, — 28 Weeks and Later
Service Description
A diagnostic obstetric ultrasound performed beginning at 28 weeks of pregnancy. Depending on the provider’s order, the examination may assess fetal growth, position, cardiac activity, amniotic fluid, placenta, and other pregnancy-related structures. This is a medical diagnostic examination requiring an order from the patient’s prenatal care provider. Palmetto Preventive does not provide elective keepsake ultrasound, 3D or 4D rendering, entertainment imaging, or guaranteed fetal-sex determination. This service is intended for routine, nonemergency follow-up and does not replace ongoing prenatal care or hospital-based evaluation. Decreased fetal movement, vaginal bleeding, fluid leakage, regular contractions, severe pain, or other urgent pregnancy symptoms require immediate evaluation by the patient’s obstetric provider or hospital.
