Service Description

A diagnostic ultrasound of the leg veins to evaluate chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, persistent swelling, and abnormal backward blood flow within the veins. The examination may include both legs and uses compression and Doppler imaging to assess venous function. This service is intended for chronic, nonurgent symptoms. It is not an evaluation for suspected acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). New one-sided leg swelling, redness, warmth, severe pain, chest pain, or shortness of breath requires urgent medical evaluation.
